She wants to know your WHY... why you want to live here. Is it the beach, the art, the food, the wine, the spectacular beauty of the scenery where over 200 movies have been filmed? What is your dream? Paula listens, then goes to work to help you find that special Carmel cottage, sundrenched Carmel Valley ranch, or that private Big Sur hide away. Paula MacNab is a Carmel local who grew up on the Big Sur Coast and attended Carmel High School. At just 15, she traveled with the international group Up With People/Sing Out, where she sang and danced as part of a 200-person stage production traveling all over the world. But home always called her, and that home was Carmel. Paula has enjoyed a number of careers. She is an interior designer and Past President of the American Society of Interior Designers, ASID. She has contributed her services to more than 15 designer showcase homes in the San Francisco bay area. Because of her design expertise, she brings valuable resources and experience to her real estate clients. Her creative vision enables her to help you see the potential in a “less than perfect” property, as well as guide you in the preparation of your beloved home to maximize its value and beauty when preparing it to sell. As a former Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care and Coronary Care,  She has received numerous design awards, has been featured on HGTV, as well as being the producer and past host of her own radio show.  Paula has interviewed dozens of guests on topics as varied as mortgage banking, the arts, water issues, animal adoption, and Veterans affairs. She learned to ask the right questions and to listen. Paula is the current President of the Monterey County Film Commission and has served on dozens of other community nonprofits over the years, including the American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, SPCA, Whale Festival, Bach Festival, and the Youth Arts Collective. . She and her husband married two years ago at the lovely La Playa Hotel and are enthusiastic foodies, wine aficionados, and lifelong dog lovers. She is an avid blue-water sailor, an occasionally decent tennis player, and a very bad golfer. Paula brings persistence and tenacity to anything she does. This is Paula’s WHY...
