Hella Mitschke Rothwell, founder and Broker/Owner of Rothwell Realty Inc. has been a stakeholder in Carmel-by-the-Sea since 1995. She has been a licensed real estate broker in California since 2009 (License #01772851) and Hawaii since 2013 (License #RB21268).

Hella has assisted buyers and sellers with a wide variety of real estate transactions over the years, including luxury and second homes, first time home buyers, short sales, seniors, investment, vacant land, and commercial.
 
Foreign buyers and sellers have contacted Hella because of her International background. She was born in Germany, attended a Danish School, then immigrated to the United States via Vancouver, Canada. She has travelled extensively throughout the world, on her own and on behalf of clients. 

As an advertising and public relations executive with major hotel chains in Hawaii early in her career, Hella honed her skills as a marketing maven, attracting many thousands of visitors to the islands. With the advent of the Internet, Hella has assisted many businesses including several cities such as Carmel-by-the-Sea to get into the computer age. "Yes, I was instrumental in building the first City of Carmel-by-the-Sea website."

Hella still has friends worldwide who refer business to her. The result? Many call her with real estate questions not only for California but Hawaii. Often they become clients! "Sometimes we never meet, but handle the whole transaction electronically."
