Canvass Properties was founded by San Francisco native, homeowner, landlord and full-time real estate broker Joan Laguatan. Joan’s experience spans over twenty years of intensive work in real estate, law, marketing, research, and new construction. Raised in San Francisco and on the Peninsula, Joan graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. She began her real estate career as a Broker-Associate with Coldwell Banker in 2003, then worked for a real estate developer, becoming Sales Manager for the Bay Area Peninsula’s largest luxury waterfront condominium subdivision. Joan later formed Canvass Properties to address her client’s unique needs amidst the evolving real estate landscape. Joan has closed hundreds of transactions across five Bay Area counties representing companies, lenders, institutions, investors, individuals and families. She is on the board of SF senior affordable housing development Menorah Park and actively gives back to the community as a volunteer while donating to causes relating to affordable housing and animal welfare.
