After graduating from UC Berkeley, Rich founded Heritage Homes and Investments in Palo Alto. He then became a Managing Partner with Pacific Peninsula Partners in Menlo Park, where he led the sales department for new home developments. Rich then joined leading residential brokerage, Alain Pinel Realtors in Menlo Park, where for 15 years he was one of their top-producing agents. Rich was recently recruited to Sotheby's, which he joined in part due to their powerful national and international marketing programs.
